One of my favorite breakfast meals that have had sparingly since relocating to Bangkok is the spinach omelet. Cheap spinach is not easy to find and the lack of cooking space makes the effort to find it even more cumbersome. End result, I’ll order it whenever I see it, the problem is that I’m often disappointed with the fare, as in this case. View high resolution

Mueslix & banana & yogurt & honey. The sweetness of the honey brings a perfect balance to the tartness of the fresh yogurt. I’m coming here for breakfast every day.

When I first moved to Bangkok, I had an almost daily early morning ritual (or afternoon and sometimes late-night) bowl of jok at the Chinese food stall right around the corner from where I stayed.
Two years later, I’ve finally found a spot in my new neighborhood that serves up jok, that measures up to that bowl I used to get when I lived way out in Rama 2.
To eat, add sliced ginger, chives, soy sauce, pepper, break the uncooked yolk and stir it about until the yellowish hue is somewhat even throughout. Proceed. View high resolution
