After two years in Southeast Asia, I noticed that many of my tastes have changed. While piquance rules everything around me, I’m relegated to watered-down beer to put out the fires, which means I’m relegated to watered-down beer to quench my thirst. In turn, I’ve come to appreciate the subtle mildness of brews like Guinness, to which I used to be indifferent when all I drank were IPAs. Nowadays, I really fucking love it.
